Welcome to Claddagh Counsel. I'm Jaclyn Recker, an accomplished Registered Nurse with over 14 years of bedside expertise and founder of Claddagh Counsel. Since 2011, I've devoted myself to obstetrical nursing, earning recognition from physicians, nurses, and colleagues for my commitment, skills, and knowledge. I hold certifications in fetal monitoring, inpatient antepartum care and inpatient obstetrics and currently work as a bedside labor and deliver nurse. My passion lies in assisting those in need and sharing my expertise to benefit others.

I'm committed to leveraging my wealth of nursing experience to assist individuals and legal teams in navigating the complexities of birth trauma cases. Meet Kayla, a dedicated Registered Nurse holding Bachelors degrees in both Nursing and Family Community Services with a Health Promotion Specialization. She has practiced obstetrics for 11 years and has a background in neurology. Kayla currently serves as a perinatal nurse coordinator. With a focus on high-risk obstetrical patients, she works with the medical team to manage and provide comprehensive care and support to expectant mothers facing complex maternal and/or fetal medical conditions. Holding certifications in both inpatient obstetrics and electronic fetal monitoring, Kayla ensures top-tier care for expectant mothers and their babies. Known for her compassion and advocacy, Kayla is committed to improving maternal and infant health outcomes. In her spare time she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, particularly on the lake at her family cottage. Kayla has found fulfillment in a new endeavor, teaming with legal firms to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients facing medical challenges.

Kayla Tolhurst BSN, RN, RNC-OB, C-EFM

Dr. Tracy Slone is a dedicated Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist with a wealth of experience and expertise in women’s healthcare. She obtained her undergraduate degree with a BS in chemistry from the University of Michigan. Following her undergraduate studies, she pursued her medical education at the University of Kentucky where she completed both medical school and residency. After residency, Dr. Slone joined Lexington Ob Gyn Associates in Lexington,Kentucky where she was in private practice for 14 years. Her years in private practice allowed her to hone her skills even further and earn respect and admiration in the medical community. 

Dr. Slone transitioned to Ob Gyn Hospitalist work 9 years ago. She is the lead Ob Gyn Hospitalist at Trinity Health Grand Rapids in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She also does Hospitalist work in Kentucky and South Carolina. In this role she is able to provide high quality care to women during critical moments ensuring their safety and well-being during childbirth and other obstetric and gynecological emergencies. 

Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Slone enjoys time with family and friends. She has been happily married for 30 years and has two children, a daughter and a son. She resides in Rockford, Michigan. She enjoys volunteering at Kids Food Basket. In her leisure time, she practices taekwondo and Krav Maga and works on improving her golf game.
